A Legacy Continued.

BISON is built on decades of bodybuilding history.

Before there was BISON, there was King’s Gym—a place that became synonymous with serious training in East London.

Today, that same culture, experience and passion continue in a new home.

THE EARLY YEARS

Where It All Began, 1987

The earliest known photograph of King’s Gym dates back to 1987, although the gym itself had already become an established part of East London’s bodybuilding community.

Built for serious lifters, King’s Gym became known for its straightforward approach to training and a gym floor filled with equipment chosen for one reason: performance.

A GYM THAT HELPED BUILD CHAMPIONS

Over the years, King’s Gym became one of London’s most respected bodybuilding gyms.

Its reputation attracted legends of the sport, including Dorian Yates and Tom Platz, alongside countless national and international competitors.

For decades, it was a place where people came to train hard, learn from one another and pursue their goals.

Carrying the Legacy Forward

MEET LUCAS QUEIROZ, 2004

Lucas took over King’s Gym in 2004 and spent more than two decades building on the foundations that had already been laid.

Having competed himself, he has dedicated his life to training, coaching and helping others reach their potential—from complete beginners to competitive bodybuilders.

Today, that same experience continues at BISON.

A NEW HOME

From Dalston to Homerton, 2026

After four decades in Dalston, King’s Gym’s chapter came to an end when its lease expired.

But the story didn’t end there.

The equipment, experience and community found a new home in Homerton.

Although the King’s Gym name could not continue, everything that mattered remained.

BISON is where our story continues.
